Our Interactive FTZ No. 79 is designed to provide you with additional information on zone site operators in the Tampa Bay area. A majority of the site operators are located in Hillsborough county, with 6 zones located in or close to Port Tampa Bay. Additionally, there are 2 zone operators located in Polk County, and 1 operator in Lake County.
The map also has custom filters available. You can research the existing FTZ No. 79 Zone Operators and Zone Sites by selecting the desired filters and pressing the "Filter" button. Filtering by “Zone Status” displays the Active and Not Active zone sites. You may also filter by “Zone Type”, which displays the General Purpose/Magnet zone, and the Subzone/User-driven zones. This option is useful if you are looking to simply use an established and authorized FTZ No. 79 designated Zone Operator's site to complement your business' operations. General Purpose Zones are intended for use by multiple zone operators or zone users within the traditional site framework.

Zone Site No. 5. This Magnet Site is located on Port Tampa's Bay waterfront property known as Hooker's Point. The majority of this Zone Site is not activated; however both Ports America and Tampa Ship are active Zone Operators within this Zone Site. This area includes warehouse buildings--including storage warehousing, shipbuilding facilities, cargo terminals for bulk, break bulk, and containerized, and a vacant land.
Site 6: Located at the Tampa Port Authority George B. Howell terminal facility, now known as Port Ybor, which includes waterfront areas along Ybor Channel and the Ybor Turning Basin. This Zone Site is not activated.

Site No. 4. This Magnet Site is located at the Tampa Convention Center in downtown Tampa. This Zone Site is not activated.
Site No. 9. Rockefeller Group Development has received authorization to serve as the Zone Operator. This Zone Site is not activated.
